Three Things
A dock
A rock on top
Three things I forgot
Telling me to stop
A fall
In a perfect ball
Two things saying “Breathe!”
Sink to the bottom please
A mud
A potato spud
One thing saying swim
But I don’t know him
Done
Perfectly spun
My new house
My watery spouse
Like it – and spuds
I love spuds.
if you are going to sink, the bottom is the place you want to sink to.
Yeah I’d say so. Pretty much made it there with that poem. Call it a fit of pique.
You poets are all the same…you never think what you write is good. Leave it to us non-poet types then…it’s damn good.
Those are kind words Rhonda, but I’m really not a poet and I really don’t think it’s more than a diversion. I will work on it. I still love short stories, I would consider myself a writer of them. I do appreciate the kind words.
I love reading poetry that sounds good and is fun like this. 🙂 I aspire to write it myself. Very melodic and full of personality.
Thanks much Pete. I’m pretty fledgling, but trying to have fun with it.
Fledgling is best. Learn only from you dude. That’s (one of) my mottos. 🙂 You’ve a great voice methinks. And fun oh yes! haha
Loved it
Thanks very much.
LOL too funny, love the style too
Thanks much, I am a crap poet but I do see the appeal. More of a long prose person.
