Hey all,
Hope you’re all doing well. Just wanted to link to this blog, the Independent Writers Podcast:
On the first episode, there’s a link to a podcast of a story I wrote a long time ago called “Pickle” (https://trentlewin.com/2016/03/29/pickle/). It’s crazy when someone else reads your story out loud, it’s like a different person wrote the thing but you may have dreamt pieces of it. Anyway, if you’re of a mind, have a listen, although you may have to go to iTunes to grab the episode (it’s free). And if you’re interested in submitting, I’m sure the Indpendent Writers Podcast would be very interested in a piece of fiction.
I remember your Pickle story. It broke my heart. I will have to try and have a listen.
That’s the first time I saw “pickle” and “broke my heart” used in conjunction with one another. Well done! And to you, too, Mr. Lewin.
I didn’t find the podcast, but I read the story. It held me the entire way. I like the sort of casual, yet serious, life-goes-on theme. One leaves the world while another comes into it. Great story.
WhhhheeeeEEEEEEEEeeeee…………..
I’m doing very well thank you, how are you? Story sounds good read out, not how i read it in my head though; gives a different slant.
Hello Trent, just when I thought you had given up on blogging for a very long time to come.
I am well, I think.
I think I know the feeling. Having your works read out by someone else or having someone quote something you wrote a long time back feels suddenly novel and splendid to you, even though you no longer had such high regards for the works.
Doc! No I’m around a little bit, just not much. Shame, but there’s only so much time.
