Wisdom Bites Back (pt. 4)

You are only as good as the last ten words you spoke before going to bed.

Appreciate everyone who read my last story. 4000 words and a difficult thing to go through but you guys are awesome.

Dream hard, rage hard.

  1. Well then, if you can’t remember the last 10 words you spoke, then you can’t even know how good you are.
It was an entertaining and thought-provoking read, as always.

  2. As it was when I was driven to write regularly. That is how so many of my posts became series. I started out with writing ostensibly a single post and it would keep writing itself until it was finished. By the time I was 4000+ words in I knew I had to break it up or no one would read it: TLDR syndrome. No doubt people thought I did series to try to hook them into repeat visits but that was not the case at all. The post wrote itself until I had said all it needed to say. Even then many posts in the series were 2500+ words and had long paragraphs which are anathema in the blogosphere, not unlike the length of this comment perhaps.

    1. Well, to be frank (see what I did there?), I read this whole comment. I kind of like being sucked into reading. But I only have certain times when I can do that, it’s just not a casual activity for me. In some ways, I apply that reasoning to other people, which is nonsense. Everyone comes at things in different ways. I don’t know, I feel like you have to write what you have to write. The particular story noted in this post of mine is huge. I just wrote another longer one (in that 2500 word range) this past weekend, and very few comments on that. Maybe it doesn’t even exist, I don’t know. But I loved writing it, so I think I’ll have to be happy with that.
