The New Quarterly offered me an opportunity to record a 60-second excerpt from the CNF they published in issue 174 (Whose Truth is it Anyway?). The piece is called ‘The Last Barrel’. I consider this recording to be proof of my human-ness! Of course, I could have asked a digital agent to record this, but I’m sure the goofy voice and irreverence can only be human-made. Human like me. Promise.
You can find the excerpt on Instagram here.
The New Quarterly also published a brief blog post about where I like to write… I love that this journal interacts with writers in this way, giving them an opportunity to speak. There are a ton of blogs on the site from other writers, too. You can find my piece here.

I also hate fascism!
Can I just say I CAN’T WAIT to read your novel when it’s published. I’ve loved everything of yours I’ve read and I am excited for more!
Thank you! You have a new one coming, right? I still have to read your previous, but I have it in my hands!
Indeed I do, a political thriller called Keeper by Blood, which I’llbeputting out later this month. The one you have is Sister Dragon, a work that’s more on the fabulism side of storytelling. More fairytale. Thank you again for your support for that title, by the way.
I’ll be picking that up as well, but will read Sister Dragon first. Love fairytales. Pretty different from political thrillers! Love the range that you’re showing.
You’re a bot. Come on. Admit it. Free yourself from the shackles of humanity!!!
Regarding your novel … would love to be a beta reader for you.
I mean, I may as well be a bot!!!! Sent you an email.
