‘We, the Divine’. Disclosure was never so sweet.

I think there’s a movie coming out called Disclosure Days about aliens. Well, I wrote about that long ago and just had a piece published in Syncopation, called ‘We, the Divine’ that touches on this subject. But mostly, it’s about music and how transformative and foundational it truly is, no matter who we are. What would life be without music?

You can find the piece in Volume 5, Issue 2 of Syncopation here.

Thankful to Natalie Welsh for publishing me yet again. She previously published a very non-alien-centric piece called ‘Untouchable’. If you know anything about the caste system in India, you know what that refers to. You can find that story here.

I’m always floored when people publish my words. They seem so small in many ways, and I don’t know where they come from. I don’t start out to be strange or to delve in fabulism, but that’s where I find myself. Literary fabulism. Somehow, my understanding of the human condition is tempered through the exertion of magic, because in the end, we are magical creatures. We do harm and we do bad, but we are still magical, and most of us do so much good. I choose the better parts of who we are, the way we overcome the ills, self-imposed or thrust upon us, to come out shining. That’s the mission.
